To be considered for admission to the Professional Program in 物理治疗, you must complete the application procedure for the Department of 物理治疗's Professional Program. Application materials received after the posted deadline will not be considered in admission review.

Once you are accepted to the PT Professional Program, you must complete 所有 the pre-professional (prerequisite) courses 之前 starting the professional courses.

The 火狐体育下注 物理治疗 Program has chosen to participate in the Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS) to facilitate the admissions process. To be considered for August 2025 start date:

• 开始 PTCAS应用程序 on or after July 1, 2024

• 提交 supplemental application 和 $50 supplemental application fee 2024年10月1日

PTCAS

In order to apply to the UK 物理治疗 Program, you must access the PTCAS 和 also complete the Supplemental Application unique to the UK program. The Supplemental Application is available in July as well.  You should only apply to the Professional Program in 物理治疗, College of Health Sciences, 火狐体育下注 through the PTCAS process 和美国K PT Program sites.

Supplemental Application

In order to participate in the UK DPT program a student must be accepted to the program 和 attend at either the Lexington or Hazard campus.  The UK program is offered simultaneously on each campus 和 much of the instruction is done via interactive television.  临床 education courses are often completed off campus in locations across the state 和 country.  For these two reasons, the program is considered a distance learning program.  

Completing the 火狐体育下注 Doctor of 物理治疗 program 和 passing the final comprehensive exam followed by the national licensure exam (NPTE) allows a graduate to practice in any US state.  在毕业典礼上, there will be additional state board requirements (such as background check, 费用, 等.) to complete for licensure.

The 火狐体育下注 Doctor of 物理治疗 program is in compliance with CAPTE 认证 st和ards 和 the state authorization requirements in all states in which students may affiliate.

The program has determined that its curriculum meets the state educational requirements for licensure or certification in all states, the District of Colombia, 波多黎各, 和美国.S. 属维尔京群岛 secondary to its accreditation by the Commission on 认证 in 物理治疗 Education, based on the following:

CAPTE accreditation of a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant program satisfies state educational requirements in all states, the District of Columbia, 波多黎各, 和美国.S. 属维尔京群岛. 因此, students graduating from CAPTE-accredited physical therapist 和 physical therapist assistant education programs are eligible to take the National 物理治疗 Examination 和 apply for licensure in all states, the District of Columbia, 波多黎各, 和美国.S. 属维尔京群岛. Do not apply to the 火狐体育下注 招生 Office or the Graduate School.
